How much are they and what sizes?

Jul. 8th, 2007 08:16 pm (UTC)
The prices are now listed in the mystery bag section. Sizes are custom or listed on my profile page.

When you mention 3 items, are those accessories or clothing items? Like, could one of the items be a skirt, or would it only be hair clips or something? Also, could I specify if I do NOT want something in particular? Like, in one of your classical dresses, you have little ruffle sleeves. If I want a jsk or something without those ruffle sleeves, can I get that, or would that be too much to ask for a mystery bag, considering it's supposed to be a mystery? Haha! Sorry for all the questions!

The three item are listed after the asterick(*). Some of them include a dress, a petticoat, and a headpiece plus a surprise item. The more expensive bags have more bulk, such as a coat(lined), blouse, and knickers and will require more time to make. Though these are mystery bags, you can tell me what you do not want, but in moderation. It's good to ask questions!

Are we allowed to order a pack without going to AWA?

Jul. 9th, 2007 04:17 pm (UTC)
Yes you can. I will mail it. I ship orders locally, internationally, to universities, and P.O. Boxes.

well i have a question (what else^^)

What color would the petticoat be?

Or is it possible to choose the color???

Thx
mienkintosh
Jul. 12th, 2007 08:18 pm (UTC)
The petticoat would either be white, black, or a printed fabric. If I have the color you want, I can make it in that color for you.

I could be interested in a shiro pack, but I would prefer a cutsew rather than a blouse. Also concerning the headpiece, I really don't want any big Alice bow or the like, but rather some small hairpins or flower corsage ^^. Is this too much to ask for a mystery pack? ^^"
mienkintosh
Jul. 12th, 2007 08:20 pm (UTC)
*dies*, kiddin. Alright, a cutsew is fine. Yes, I can make something smaller like flower, or hair pins. No, it's not too much to ask. ^^

Jul. 12th, 2007 08:49 pm (UTC)
lol ^^ ok, that's nice of you. hmm actually when I said cutsew I meant something more like a bolero/cardigan, you know, something nice to wear over your clothes when it's a bit chilly ^^* lol, but not thicker than a cutsew, so it doesn't qualify as a jacket. If you can't do that, I'll just stick to a cutsew - I don't want to be too annoying!! So what I'm going to do is check on closet child tomorrow to see if they have new things I like, and if not, I'll write back to confirm my order for a mystery pack \^-^/

Jul. 12th, 2007 11:05 pm (UTC)
I can do that for you since it is still from the same material. I look forward to hearing from you tomorrow^.^

I found nothing on closet child, so I'll order from you. Should I send you an email with all the indications required? I'll probably need a custom size since medium size is good for my waist but too big for my bust, lol.

Thank you for you buisness! Yes, you can send me an e-mail of the requirements from the "How to Order" section. Do you want me to mail it to your address, or pick it up at AWA in September? Custom sizing is fine and not difficult to do. ^.^

could you give me an example of what you mean by "fairytale inspired dress" for the sweet pack?
mienkintosh
Sep. 12th, 2007 05:29 pm (UTC)
I do not have a pisture for that. But, I do mean something out of Grimm's book. Like cinderella, a bad example I know. I do not literally mean it will look like a cinderalla gown. I will use classic fairytales to pull my inspiration from. Sorry, deign major talking^^

Sep. 12th, 2007 05:45 pm (UTC)
ok, so it won't be like a disneyish dress, right? or be costumey?

can you do the back at least partially shirred? i seem to fluctuate between your L & XL a lot :x oh, & would it be too much to ask for a headbow (any style is fine) for the headpiece?
mienkintosh
Sep. 12th, 2007 06:03 pm (UTC)
No, not at all. It would be more like a german culture version(Grimm) of the look. Even though I am doing costumes for three people for AWA, their costumes will look like real clothing, not made of satin or something. I hate those!!! Yes, if you fall between sizes, I will shirr to death! Kidding, the last customer did as well, so I added a bit ib the front of the JSK. A headnow is fine. Do you mean the kachusha style with the wire in it?
mad_tollbooth
Sep. 12th, 2007 06:12 pm (UTC)
that sounds good then!

& pretty much any style of headbow is fine with me :3

Do you have any more pictures of the items? I am intested in ordering them seperately/indivitually. The whole mystery thing freaks me out a little too much. XD

Sorry, no I don't^ ^ They are mystery bags. I have more pics of items I have made in the past on my journal, second page.

Also, two other customers have ordered the mystery bag, but they will not be ready for a few weeks. I will only post pics of ones that I have made as an example. Each one is custom designed, drafted, and made to look completely different from each other. So, that is why I do not have any other examples. If you would like to commission an individual item from me, you can do so^ ^. I can draw it for you, send you a sketch and so on.

Okay I have a couple of questions (sorry if you addressed these in another post I got a bit confused)

1. If I were to order a mystery pack how long would it take you to do? I see that you are currently doing 2 right now so I was just wondering. I have no idea how long it takes to come up with a design/sew. And if I were going to wear the outfit somewhere I'd need to know how much an advance I should commission it.

Hello,
1.) It honstly depends on the mystery bag. That hime one took a few weeks because I had several big orders, if you look in the past commissions section. Right now, I am taking new orders for this month to October. I come up with a deisgn within a few hours(more like 1-2). Then I source for supplies,(which takes 1-2 days). The process takes one week to source for supplies, then production can take from 1-2 weeks. I have been known to ship out orders earlier. If you need the outfit for a certain event by a certain time, order 2 weeks in advance please. I will put you ahead of everyone else, and ship it priority mail. I hope that this helps out^ ^

Whats UK shipping?
mienkintosh
Oct. 1st, 2007 02:33 am (UTC)
It's around $15.00. Even in the U.S., it's about the same because of the weight of the package. Shipping to Massachusetts, in the U.S. was $14.00.

how long does it take to make and send?
mienkintosh
Oct. 1st, 2007 03:34 am (UTC)
It usually takes 2-3 weeks for the entire order. I have several orders at the moment. For an example, if you order this week, I will get your supplies, and then start on your order. Each bag takes a different time period.

Question, would it be possible to get the punk mystery pack but not punk. I mean the Jsk, cutsew and headpeice but get in a diffrent style. I really like classical style more but I would prefer a jsk rather than a dress.

Oct. 16th, 2007 05:44 pm (UTC)
Sure! Like, did you want a classical mystery pack, buut instead it is a jsk with a cutsew?

^ so is each dress/jsk you make unique? Like, is it a one off design or are they all kinda similar? Say if I ordered the gothic mystery bag, would it be the exact same dress as the one that you're showing?

Hello, each design is one of a kind^_^ I design each one for the customer. You can tell me what you absolutely dislike, and I will make it to your likes, that are on the "order form" in my how to order section.
